  • Christina Morris

A lover of outdoor yoga, espresso and arm balances, Christina is the owner of Rooted Yoga, founded in November 2021. She is an RYT500 teacher with a training background in Ashtanga, Yin and Nidra. She believes in the power of yoga as a tool to create a space for body, mind and spirit to become a more balanced part of our everyday lives. Her classes offer grounding meditations and all levels sequences to unify body, breath and mind, often pulling from other areas of interest such as 5 element/TCM, reiki, massage and other trainings. She teaches group, private and corporate classes. Her favorite yoga poses are lizard variations, chaturangas and “climb on yoga” created by her little one.

Christina also offers massage and energetic bodywork through Breath & Bone Reiki, deeply believing that holistic healing modalities help shift people’s energy for their highest wellbeing.

A lover of the beach, the sun and supporting local artists, she believes in this community and bringing yoga and healing to all who want to be here. Yoga is for everyone!

  • Callie Flanders

Callie’s passion for yoga began when she realized taking care of her physical, mental, and spiritual health are interconnected and integral pieces of survival. Callie first started practicing yoga in 2014, but did not develop a consistent practice until 2017. At the beginning of the New Year in 2019, Callie’s intuition called her to sign up for a 200-hour yoga teacher training with Rachel Brathen at Island Yoga in Aruba. Callie was selected after an extensive application process and completed the training in November of 2019, with 51 other individuals from all over the world. Callie holds a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and is currently completing her Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Her dharma, or life's mission, is helping others along their journey to healing, and she believes that yoga is one of the many tools we can use to go deeper and discover what our souls are calling for.

  • Christine Peterson

Christine has called the Rooted Yoga space her home studio for years as a practitioner and a teacher. The community holds a special place in her heart.

Christine completed Rise + Vibe 200 hour YTT in June of 2020. She became a certified Chair Yoga teacher in 2021 and completed Yoga for All training in 2022. She also teaches Restorative classes.

Christine's classes are lighthearted and focus on connecting with breath and gentle movement. She believes in accepting our bodies where they are and adapting yoga accordingly. Christine loves using props as well as hip and heart openers.

  • Hope Aguilera

Hope is a yogi, teacher, artist, and herbalist. “Yoga helped heal my back when I fractured my spine as a competitive softball player in CA when I was a teenager and I have not stopped practicing. Yoga taught me how to feel connected and grounded in my body. It has brought me far around the world and deeply into my soul. It continues to heal my body, mind and spirit even as my practice changes throughout my life. I studied ashtanga and restorative yoga in my 200hr training with YogaNH in 2012 and then anusara, yin, and therapeutic yoga in my 500hr training with Soma Yoga Institute in Northern California in 2019. My classes are very focused on anusara alignment as i deeply appreciate a system to realign your posture through practice. Breath, meditation, and finding our inner bliss body are also very important to my practice. When I’m not on my mat I am making plant medicines or painting or reading a good book with some herbal tea.”
